History of Svein Halvorsen AS

Svein Halvorsen AS (SHAS) offered accounting and auditing services and managed an investment portfolio. It was owned and managed by Svein Halvorsen until his death in the autumn of 2006.

Until 2007, SHAS had a wholly-owned subsidiary company, called Svein Halvorsen Invest AS, which was active in the stock market.

When Svein Halvorsen died in autumn 2006, his only heirs, his parents Solveig and Harald Franck Halvorsen, took over the company. They chose his father, Harald Franck Halvorsen, as the sole board member. The board decided to sell the client portfolio and to simplify the corporate structure. The subsidiary Svein Halvorsen Invest AS was therefore merged with the parent company January 1, 2007.

In the fall of 2008, Solveig and Harald Franck Halvorsen transferred the shares in Svein Halvorsen AS to their daughter, their son-in-law, and their three grand-children, with 20% of the shares to each. The new shareholders elected a new board in November 2008 who started to restructure the investments portfolio.
